chaosincurate began as a Tumblr blog for me, Cameron, to write about my passion for music and to try to help people find music they really love. That Tumblr still exists, as does the chaosincurate AlbumOfTheYear profile, but moving forward this site will be the main hub for my hyperfixated ramblings.

My main aim with this site is to operate as a music discovery tool. I don't intend to act as a reviewer, but instead as a curator, only offering things you may like and largely refraining from negativity unless it's important.

My secondary aim is to cultivate a community around thoughtful music discussion which respects differing opinions and acknowledges the subjectivity of those opinions. The inflammatory "band is mid" comments can be fun, but not when that's all there is.

I hope you find some value in my writing, whether it's validation, exploration, or exposure to new arguments about the music landscape.
